About Us
Marisol and I came from Christian backgrounds yet we knew something was missing in our lives. I grew up in a Malayalee Pentecostal Church in Philadelphia. Many people there were good people but it seems that the church was intentionally or inadvertently more focused at keeping culture above Christ. When I graduated Drexel University in June 1997 with my BS in Chemical Engineering, I started a job where I traveled a lot (to San Francisco, Raleigh, and Geneva, Switzerland) and that started the acceleration of my fascination with casino gambling and some drinking of alcohol at bars/clubs. I rarely went to church during my 2 years of backsliding from the Lord. I was bitter when I left college for I saw so many people calling themselves “Christians” but did not follow Jesus Christ at all. In the Greek language, the word is called hypocrite. But I was immature in turning away from God for I should have went to Him in the first place. Yet he was and is a loving God, for he kept drawing me back to Him. In 1999, a friend invited me to Times Square Church in New York City and I heard Pastor David Wilkerson preach a message related to repentance. I just cried my heart out and the Lord Jesus Christ took me back and I gave myself to Him from that day onwards. For the next 2 years I would travel from Philadelphia to Manhattan on Tuesday evenings and Sunday all day just to attend Times Square Church. I thank God for His Holy Spirit being evident in the church and in my life. Everyday is a new day and just like God’s word says, he is changing us “from image to image and glory to glory”.
Marisol also came from a Christian background. She grew up in a Spanish speaking Disciples of Christ church in East Harlem (NYC). She too was living in a church that was daily killing any type of personal relationship she could have had with Jesus Christ. Then in 1994, she visited Times Square Church and never looked back. She has grown in her walk with Jesus Christ and in September 2000, she started Biblical Studies at Mount Zion School of Ministry. In 2002-2003, while doing an internship at the Children’s Ministry in TSC, Marisol and I met each other (I was a co-leader in a Sunday School department). I proposed to her in May 2003 and we got married in November 2003.
From our ministry service to God (at TSC and personal) via Children’s Ministry, Short-Term Missions, Muslim Outreach, Evangelism, Preaching, Bible Study Leader at work, etc, we believe God has and continues to prepare us to evangelize various countries throughout the world via various ministry functions. Speaking of the world, I have been blessed to travel to 52 countries so far in my short life, so I do have a better understanding of the world. The believers I have met around the world are truly living in the love and spirit of Jesus Christ!
Currently, we are being parents to our son, Daniel Anil, and to our new born daughter, Sonia (Praise God!), working in the pharmaceutical industry, and I am studying part-time for my MDiv. We feel called to the world for Evangelism and Missions. Unless God calls us to do otherwise, we feel tentmaking is the viable option for us as our degrees in Speech Pathology (BA) and Chemical Engineering (BSChE) & Business (MBA) will provide us with opportunities to enter nations where it would otherwise be difficult (especially nations that are in complete opposition to the Gospel of Jesus Christ). Marisol has had research and public school experience while I have had experience working in the pharmaceutical and medical device industries (before college graduation, I had worked in the retail and automotive manufacturing industries).
We ask that you pray with us that God would use us for His glory! We want to evangelize the world by concentrating on one person at a time. Ministry is all about each precious individual that God has created and wants to have a closer relationship with. It starts with one repenting and submitting their hearts to Jesus Christ. After that important decision, then can life be complete and the heart & mind be at true peace.
