About Jesus Christ and Personal Relationship

Who is Jesus Christ?

One might ask “Who is Jesus Christ and what does he have to do with me?” Well they are an important set of questions that must be answered.

First, Jesus Christ is the son of God. The Bible states in John 3:16 that “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life”. Jesus Christ was sent to the earth so that by His death on the cross, He would provide a way for men and women (who choose to accept Him) to have a true and personal relationship with God. He lived a sinless life and did many miracles but the greatest thing He did was to provide every human being a chance to be saved their sin and have a new spiritually transformed life.

A Personal Relationship with Jesus Christ

Each person is precious in God’s eyes but each person has fallen. In other words, in God’s eyes each person is a sinner. What is a “sinner”? Well that is a person who sins. Sin is basically any thought or behavior that leads to separation from God. God sent Jesus Christ to redeem us away from sin so that we can have a personal relationship with God. The only way to be right before God is to truly repent of your sins and ask Jesus Christ into your heart. Once you do that, you are considered a child of God in His kingdom.

That basically is what God wants to “do with” you. He wants you to live your life for Him and be led completely by Him for His glory. Jesus Christ wants you to have total peace and freedom, which only comes through Him. Not peace or freedom the world has defined but what God has defined in His Holy Word.

Finally and ultimately important, Jesus Christ wants you to have eternal life and spend eternity in heaven with Him. That only can happen to those whose hearts and lives have accepted Jesus "The Risen" Christ!
